Former GRB Entertainment president of international Marielle Zuccarelli has returned to the California-based producer-distributor as its chief operating officer following a four-year absence.
In her new role, Zuccarelli will be responsible for overseeing the company’s program development, international distribution and acquisitions, as well as corporate strategy and business development.
Additionally, Zuccarelli will be charged with managing the company’s newly launched branded entertainment division. The unit will now provide advertisers and marketers with the opportunity to produce original content across all platforms.
As her first order of business, Zuccarelli has elevated former executive VP of creative affairs Michael Branton to executive VP of branded entertainment. He will continue to serve as an exec producer on such series as A&E’s Intervention and TLC’s Untold Stories of the ER.
Zuccarelli previously served as president of international at GRB between 2003 and 2012. Most recently, she served as executive VP of international distribution at Sonar Entertainment, where she was responsible for distributing high-profile drama, copros and acquisitions.
Prior to this, she served as MD of international distribution at A+E Networks.
