GRB shops returning factual at Natpe

The 13th season of docu-drama Untold Stories of the ER, showcasing dramatic real-life stories highlighting the intense nature of high-pressure medicine, is on the company’s slate for the annual market, as is season nine of On the Case.

The latter explores murder mysteries through in-depth interviews with those involved in the investigations and expert analysis.

Sarah Coursey, senior VP of international at GRB, said: “GRB Studios is looking forward to kicking off 2020 with great new seasons of our most popular programmes. We also have a strong acquisitions mandate and would like to invite producers to stop by our booth and pitch us their scripted and unscripted programmes.”

GRB Studios to Highlight New Seasons of Top Shows at NATPE

At the upcoming NATPE Miami, GRB Studios is focusing on the new seasons of its global hit series, including Untold Stories of the E.R.

Now in its 13th season, Untold Stories of the E.R. follows intense emergency room stories demonstrating the true dramatic nature of medicine practiced under pressure, where every moment is a turning point. On the Case, meanwhile, is in its 9th season exploring intriguing murder mysteries through in-depth interviews with those closest to the case and the forensic evidence that helped to unravel the crimes.

GRB Studios is also presenting Close Up with The Hollywood Reporter season five. The roundtable interview series features A-list stars and directors from the year’s most acclaimed films and TV series. Guests such as Oscar and Emmy winners Tom Hanks, Guillermo del Toro, Emma Stone, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Matt Damon discuss the craft and true, funny, emotional tales of the business.

Additionally, Sarah Coursey, senior VP of international at GRB Studios, is speaking at NATPE on the panel “Maximizing IP: Rights Retention & Exploitation Strategies with NPACT” on Tuesday, January 21, at 4:45 p.m. in the Dazzle Room. GRB has a robust acquisitions strategy for 2020, looking to increase its programming portfolio with both factual and scripted and will be meeting with several potential partners at the market.

“GRB Studios is looking forward to kicking off 2020 with great new seasons of our most popular programs—Untold Stories of the E.R., now in its 13th year of production, and the ever-popular celebrity roundtable series Close Up with The Hollywood Reporter,” stated Coursey. “We also have a strong acquisitions mandate and would like to invite producers to stop by our booth and pitch us their scripted and unscripted programs. We look forward to a fantastic market.”

She continued: “Audiences around the world are fascinated by true-life stories, and these three have it all—gripping crime, dramatic emergencies and glamorous Hollywood stories. For shows with 2019 and 2020 premieres, we are searching for series with universal appeal, which can just as easily speak to a pan-Latin buyer as a German or a British buyer.”

“We are actively looking for new programs to add to our catalog,” she added.
