GRB Studios (USA) is strengthening its position in the marketplace after their recent restructuring initiated by the company’s CEO Gary Benz who promoted Scot Cru to President of the company and placed Patrice Choghi at the helm of the International department as SVP.
Prensario interviewed Choghi at NATPE Miami: ‘GRB is evolving with the dramatic shifts the industry continues to make. As always, we are aiming to diversify our distribution focus while also concentrating on maintaining the top quality production capabilities that have helped define our business. GRB Studios’ catalog has over 3,500 hours of programming, spanning various genres, anchored by our strong factual and documentary content, however we are also currently aiming to build ourselves into a competitive force in high end formatted entertainment’, he explained.
GRB Studios has recently forged a partnership with Media Ranch, the award-winning Montreal based TV production and distribution company, to complement and expand both businesses’ original IP and distribution operations Worldwide. Even though both will operate independently, they have joined forces to co-develop, co-produce, and co-distribute new and existing formats, and ready-made series globally.
‘With the success of Untold Stories of the E.R., GRB is setting our sights on the format business and creating authentic programming that audiences can connect with for years to come. All this while we continue to focus our efforts on FTA channels, OTTs, and Pay TV. One of the distinct advantages that a smaller company such as GRB has is its ability to evolve and maneuver quickly, which is especially important in today’s industry’, concludes Choghi.
