GRB Ent Brings Multiple Titles to Multiple Territories Brazil, Caribbean, Africa, Europe

Sherman Oaks, CA October 26, 2015:  GRB Entertainment announced deals of multiple titles of scripted, docu-series and a documentary with broadcasters in several regions: Brazil’s Globosat; the Caribbean’s International Media Content Ltd.; Edan from French Speaking Africa; and Afrostream which reaches France, French Overseas Territories, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, U.K., and Sub-Saharan Africa.

“Whitney Houston and Toni Braxton are two of the most iconic artists of our time,” said Mike Lolato, SVP of International Distribution, GRB Entertainment.  “These series, as well as the richly entertaining FOR BETTER OR WORSE, continue to break ratings’ records and we are confident that they will resonate with audiences around the world.” 

Brazil’s Globosat acquired the documentary Remembering Whitney, produced for Lifetime USA and featuring original, never-before-seen footage of the superstar’s amazing life, in and out of the spotlight, her most iconic performances, and her family. 

The Caribbean’s International Media Content Ltd. also acquired Remembering Whitney and OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network’s hit comedy series For Better or Worse from prolific producer Tyler Perry, in addition to 3 Docu-series: Braxton Family Values (S1-4); Tamar & Vince (S1-3) – both produced for WEtv; as well as The Houstons, produced for Lifetime USA.

Edan, representing French-speaking Africa, acquired 2 seasons of popular docu-series Braxton Family Values, WEtv’s # 1 rated show in the US that follows the tight-knit Braxton sisters – Grammy-winning artist Toni Braxton, Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar – and their headstrong mother. 

Afrostream also acquired For Better or Worse, written, directed and executive produced by Tyler Perry and produced for OWN by Tyler Perry Studios. The show follows the ups and downs of dating and marriage and centers on Angela Williams (Tasha Smith), the owner of a successful beauty salon, and her husband of 13 years, Marcus (Michael Jai White), along with a group of their closest friends.
