GRB Entertainment has announced deals with MediaSet and RAI in Italy and with Discovery for several of its European channels.
MediaSet Italy acquired paranormal series ‘When Ghosts Attack’, as well as ‘Angels among us’ while RAI Italy took disastertainment doc ‘Expeditions to the Edge’.
Discovery Italy took ‘Confessions: Animal Hoarding’, originally produced for Animal Planet, as well as the first season of transactional docu-series ‘Auction Kings’ for their channels in France, Benelux, Italy, and the Nordic territories. Discovery picked up the full series of ‘Auction Kings’ for Spain.
In the paranormal series ‘When Ghosts Attack’, unseen evil entities reveal themselves to the living and strike with terrifying physical force. In ‘Angels among us’, host Elisabeth Hasselbeck showcases everyday people who believe they were saved from tragedy through angelic encounters. ‘Expeditions to the Edge’ is an adventure showcasing incredible expeditions where something went terribly wrong and the brave explorers had to make life-or-death decisions, performing unbelievable acts of heroism to survive.
‘Confessions: Animal Hoarding’ offers a portrayal of people and animals affected by hoarding and the challenges of confronting this unusual psychological condition. The series coordinates task-force style mediation by psychologists, animal welfare experts, veterinarians, friends and families, and provides safe opportunities to explore a healthy plan of action.
The Atlanta-based ‘Auction Kings’ showcases successful auctioneer Paul Brown who deals with an eclectic mix of clients who bring their treasures to sell to the highest bidders.
“GRB Entertainment has long and strong relationships with Discovery, MediaSet and RAI in Europe and we are pleased to announce our latest deals for several of their regional outlets. The supernatural recreation space is exploding in popularity around the world and ‘When Ghosts Attack’ and ‘Angels among us’ combine incredible storytelling with top-quality production value. They’re sure to resonate with viewers around the world,” said GRB Entertainment senior VP international distribution Michael Lolato.
