News round-up: Acorn TV, RTÉ return to ‘Finding Joy’; 10 Play in Oz buys Amazon drama; Platform One’s Jennifer Fox deal

Australian OTT service 10 Play has picked up all five seasons of Amazon drama The Bay.

The multi-Emmy Award winning show, which became the first drama series to have received four consecutive wins in the Scripted Drama category, will begin airing in Australia later this year.

It stars Ronn Moss (The Bold And The Beautiful) and Mary Beth Evans (Days Of Our Lives), with the story following the rich and highly dysfunctional lives of Bay City residents who live in a town cursed by the spirit of a cruel politician.

Earlier this month US-based GRB Studios picked up global sales rights to three reality shows from OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, while in October the company struck an unscripted co-production pact with UK indie Zig Zag Productions.
